Observations with the VLT, VLTI, and ALMA have pioneered exoplanet science over the past decade. With upcoming results from ESA missions such as Gaia, PLATO, and Ariel, exoplanet research is entering a transformative era of population-scale characterisation surveys. This workshop will bring the community together to explore how current ESO facilities, together with powerful archival resources, can best complement exoplanet demographics, atmospheres, and planet formation at the dawn of population-scale studies.

The programme includes plenary and breakout sessions focused on scientific synergies, observational strategies, open-science tools, and preparation for ESO's Expanding Horizons Call for Ideas. To broaden participation and reduce environmental impact, the workshop will be held in a distributed format across three regional nodes in Garching (Germany), Vitacura (Santiago de Chile), and Nice (France). Online participation will be possible as well.

Register now and do not miss the chance to connect with colleagues and shape the future of exoplanet science! The registration (and payment) deadline is 20 September 2026. Registrations will be considered completed only upon receipt of the fee payment.

Abstract submission was closed in the beginning of June and successful applicants were notified of their contributions on 3 August 2026.
