Apartments in the Garching Area
Students attending the Summer Research Programme will be provided with a room in a ESO shared apartment. ESO apartments are located in Garching and within walking distance of each other (map of Garching). There is easy access to downtown Munich as well as to ESO by subway (U-Bahn).
If the COVID-19 pandemic does not allow an in-person visit (i.e. one or more of the accepted students are not able to travel to ESO Headquarters in Garching), the programme will be held virtually as it was done in 2020 and 2021.
