ESO is organising the third part of the 2020/2021 La Silla Paranal Users Workshop. This year, the workshop consists of a series of online events, the first of which took place in early September 2020, followed by a second event in March 2021. At the end of July, just after the publication of the time allocation for P108, ESO will (virtually) host the third part of the workshop, focussed on the preparation and submission process of the Phase 2 material, the observing blocks.

All the La Silla Paranal Observatory users interested in the most up-to-date information and learning how to prepare Phase 2 material using the associated Phase 2 tools (p2 OB preparation and submission tool, ObsPrep, p2fc, and p2API) are encouraged to monitor the webpage of the user workshop where more detailed information will be provided in the coming weeks.

The workshop will be structured as follows:

- Around July 19th-20th, a single 2-3hr session will provide an overview of the Phase 2 process, and of the main tools needed to prepare your observing material. At this stage, the users who have been awarded time in P108 will be ready to start the preparation of their Phase 2 material.

- In the week of July 26th-30th, two hands-on sessions will be offered to showcase how to prepare the Phase 2 material with the p2 tool.

- Until August 6th there will be the possibility for users who have been awarded time in P108 and have specific questions regarding the preparation of their Phase 2 material to have a 1-to-1 session with experts of the Phase 2 process for a specific instrument.

Further details will be soon available on the workshop website.

This event will have no registration fees. The link for the meeting will be available on the website in the days before the event.
