Service and visitor modes

We recommend to do:

IMA     10 BIAS
            3 Dome/Sky-flats per filter

LSS     10 BIAS
7 Domeflats or internal flats per grism and slit
1 HeAr per grism and slit
Spectrophotometric standards (depends on science case)

MOS   10 BIAS
            Domeflats or internal flats
1 HeAr per grism and MOS-plate

IPOL   10 BIAS
            3 polarimetric Dome/Sky-flats with rotating lambda/2 plate
            Image of the Wollaston mask

SPOL  10 BIAS
3 Domeflats with rotating lambda/2 plate
            1 HeAr
Spectrophotometric standards (depends on science case)
Spectropolarimetric standards (depends on science case)

COR    10 BIAS
             3 Coronographic Sky/Dome-flats

Template OBs for photometric and spectrophotometric standards (with finding charts) are available in the DHS computer, to be imported into p2pp. Standards are taken from the lists of Landolt and from the list of ESO spectrophotometric standards. Standard stars for polarimetric observations can be selected from the FORS1 list.

Note: the meaning of the above acronyms is the following: IMA=imaging, LSS=long-slit spectroscopy,  MOS=multi-object spectroscopy, IPOL=imaging polarimetry,  SPOL=spectro polarimetry, COR=coronography.
