The unusual binary star V471 Tauri in the constellation of Taurus

This chart shows the location of the unusual double star V471 Tauri (red circle). All the stars visible with the naked eye on a dark night are indicated. The object itself can be easily seen in a small telescope, but just appears as an unremarkable faint star. V471 Tauri is an outlying member of the bright Hyades star cluster.
