The bright sky at Paranal
The Moon is shining bright on the telescopes of the Paranal Observatory, which is visible in this video. However, still the bright stars of the night sky are visible and they can be observed by the Unit Telescopes of the VLT. The video shows clearly how the telescopes are focusing on a target and follow its trail slowly over the sky, until they turn quickly around to centre on something new.
