Installation of the M1 cell and mirror
VLT assembly work at the ESO Paranal Observatory. The M1 cell and the mirror is lifted towards the telescope tube and fixed with heavy bolts. This operation was very critical and was accomplished with high mechanical precision. (Photo obtained on March 9, 1998).
