Starmus V - Starbesetzung im Jahr 2019

Seit die allerersten Menschen an den Sternhimmel blickten, sind wir von den Dimensionen des Weltalls gefesselt. Auch heute noch betrachten wir den Kosmos in Demut, da wir uns der enormen Entfernungen bewusst geworden sind - selbst zu den nächsten Nachbarsternen.
Das Starmus-Festival, das von Garik Israelian, einem Wissenschaftler vom Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC), ins Leben gerufen wurde, ist eine Kombination aus Wissenschaft, Kunst und Musik, bei der Astronauten, Kosmonauten, Nobelpreisträger und andere prominente Persönlichkeiten aus Wissenschaft, Kultur, Kunst und Musik aufgetreten sind. Die ESO ist eine Partnerorganisation von Starmus.
Starmus wurde 2011 von Neil Armstrong eröffnet. Frühere Starmus-Festivals fanden 2011, 2014, 2016 und 2017 statt. Bislang hat Starmus 21 Nobelpreisträger, viele Astronauten und Musiker wie Hans Zimmer, Brian May, Rick Wakeman, Sarah Brightman und Brian Eno zu Gast gehabt.
Starmus findet nun zum fünften Mal statt, und zwar vom 24. bis 29. Juni 2019 in Zürich in der Schweiz. Das Datum fällt mit dem 50. Jahrestag der Mondlandung zusammen. Starmus V wird die bisher größte Veranstaltung sein - mit Brian May, Emmanuelle Charpentier, Richard Dawkins, Elizabeth Blackburn, Chris Hadfield, Sir Martin Rees, Jill Tarter und Helen Sharman sowie mindestens sieben Mitgliedern der ursprünglichen Apollo-Missionscrew.
Xavier Barcons, der Generaldirektor der ESO, und Willy Benz, der Präsident des ESO-Rates, gehören ebenfalls zu den bestätigten Rednern.
Starmus V wird 11 Nobelpreisträger sowie Persönlichkeiten aus Kunst und Musik auf der Bühne begrüßen, um über ein breites Spektrum von Wissenschaften von der Mikrobiologie und Biochemie bis hin zu Astrophysik und Neurowissenschaften zu diskutieren, zu debattieren und sich zu engagieren. Der Starmus-Vorstand (bestehend aus Stephen Hawking, Brian May, Peter Gabriel, Richard Dawkins, Alexei Leonov, Jill Tarter, Robert Williams, David Eicher, Jack Szostak und Gründer Garik Israelian) hat ein Programm für 2019 ausgearbeitet, das einige der einflussreichsten, kreativsten und künstlerischsten Menschen der Welt zusammenbringt.
Auch der musikalische Inhalt des Festivals wird als herausragend versprochen. Das Starmus-Board wird die komplette Rednerliste bekannt geben, wenn die Tickets ab dem 15. Juni 2018 zum Verkauf angeboten werden. Für weitere Informationen und den Kauf von Eintrittskarten besuchen Sie www.starmus.com.
