Österreichischer Industrietag in Wien

Am 1. Oktober 2014 wird Aussenwirtschaft Austria einen Industrietag für eine österreichische Wirtschaftsdelegation in der Wirtschaftskammer Österreich (WKO) in Wien veranstalten. Bei dem Treffen werden Vertretern der österreichischen Firmen und Institutionen Informationen über die ESO angeboten sowie eine Einleitung zum E-ELT und potentiellen Möglichkeiten für die Beteiligung bei den industriellen Aktivitäten der ESO gegeben.
Österreich hat die Beitrittsvereinbarung zur ESO am 30. Juni 2008 unterzeichnet (eso0820), die Mitgliedschaft wurde vom österreichischen Parlament am 1. Juli 2009 ratifiziert. Verträge über 7 Millionen Euro wurden seit dem Beitritt zur Organisation an die österreichische Industrie vergeben [1]. Im Juni 2012 hat das Land mitgeteilt, dass es sich am E-ELT-Programm beteiligt (ann12096).
Erst kürzlich hat ein Team von österreichischen Spezialisten aus Linz einen sehr erfolgreichen Abschlussbericht eines vierjährigen Projektes vorgelegt. Das Expertenteam, bestehend aus Mitgliedern vom Institute for Industrial Mathematics an der Universität Linz, dem Johann Radon Institute for Computational and Applied Mathematics (RICAM) und dem Industrial Mathematics Competence Center (IMCC) in Linz, haben an Algorithmen für die adaptive Optik und Softwaremethoden gearbeitet, die sehr viel schneller als gewöhnliche Ansätze sind. Dies hat zu sehr schnellen Algorithmen für die adaptive Optik des E-ELT (ann14012) geführt, was die Kontrolle solcher Systeme mit Computern mit vertretbarer Größe und Kosten ermöglicht.
Während des Industrietages wird Arnout Tromp, der Leiter der ESO-Einkaufsabteilung, die ESO den Vertretern der österreichischen Firmen vorstellen. Diese werden die Möglichkeit haben sich mit den technologischen Anforderungen der Organisation sowie den Verfahren zur Auftragsvergabe vertraut zu machen. Auch für Einzelgespräche zwischen den jeweiligen Vertretern ist Zeit eingeplant.
Der Industrietag in Wien wird von der Aussenwirtschaft Austria organisiert und veranstaltet.
