Reducing Science Data

The basic steps in reducing SW imaging data are:

• Removal of the odd-even column effect.
• Ghost removal
• Dark subtraction (*)
• Flat Fielding (*)
• Illumination Correction
• Flagging bad pixels, removing vignetted regions. (*)
• Sky subtraction (*)
• Removing the 50 Hz pickup
• Registration and stacking (*)
• Removal of residual bias variations (*)
