These pages contain information about VIMOS Quality Control parameters and trending plots.

VIMOS calibration data are pipeline-processed to create calibration products. The quality of the products is measured by QC1 parameters. All QC1 parameters are measured on calibration products using the pipeline and are stored in a database. Their evolution with time is evaluated by the trending process. All currently available trending plots can be accessed here.

The following properties of VIMOS instrument components are trended:

• BIAS level and read noise
• noise properties, contamination and gain
• DARK current
• detector linearity

• MOS resolution and dispersion solution
• IFU resolution and dispersion solution
• alignment of grisms and IFUs

all components

• photometric zeropoints
• image quality (until 3 October 2011)
• overall efficiency of MOS and IFU systems.
