ARP@VST : a multi-band (g, r, i, H𝛼) imaging survey of the peculiar galaxies in the ARP catalog, visible from the ESO Cerro Paranal Observatory
This is a public observing program, and newly reduced data will be made publicly available as soon as they are observed and processed.
In this project, deep images in the g and r bands will be acquired, reaching μg ~ 28 − 31 mag/arcsec², for all the Arp galaxies visible from the Paranal Observatory (DEC < +10°), to detect low surface brightness features at unprecedented distances from the center of the target (~10 Re). Shallower images are requested in the i band and with the H𝛼 filter, which can be acquired during bright time.
The data are processed using the Astro-WISE pipeline, which ensures high-quality calibration and reduction. Additional information can be found in the accompanying documentation.
The fully reduced and stacked images, including their associated weight maps are available from the ESO Archive Science Portal or via Table Access Protocol.
