Emission Line Magnetospheres Around Early Type Stars About ten years ago, only two early type stars were known to possess a magnetically governed circumstellar environment: The O star theta1 Ori C and the B star sigma Ori E. This situation has changed dramatically. All five O stars with a confirmed magnetic field also have magnetically strongly affected winds. In addition, the number of B stars with a magnetosphere seen in line emission or absorption has reached almost a dozen. In this presentation, I will work out a scheme of commonalities and differences between those magnetically governed circumstellar environments, and how these morphological traits may reflect underlying physical processes.
