Polarimetry of sigma Ori E

I will report on a recent monitoring of the linear polarization of Sigma Ori E. 
We have acquired high signal-to-noite data with a good coverage of the orbital period. 
The results show that the level of linear polarization is much smaller than what is predicted by magnetosphere models, and do 
not display the expected orbital modulation. The possible theoretical consequences of this finding are discussed.
