Title:AMBER and MIDI observations of massive young stellar objects Abstract: We present AMBER and MIDI observations of a small sample of massive young stellar objects (MYSOs). MYSOs are extremely red objects due to a massive dusty envelope and have equivalent luminosities of B0 or earlier stars, although lacking prominent HII regions. These properties indicate an early phase of massive star formation, possibly one in which the central object is still undergoing mass accretion. We interpret the new AMBER and MIDI observations in terms of 2D axisymmetric radiative transfer model (Whitney et al. 2003), discussing the differences between high and low-mass star formation.
