HARMONI

HARMONI, or the High Angular Resolution Monolithic Optical and Near-infrared Integral field spectrograph, will be the first instrument installed on the European Extremely Large Telescope (E-ELT) and will function as the telescope's workhorse instrument for spectroscopy in the wavelength range 0.5–2.4 µm. The picture above shows a sectional view of HARMONI and its size in comparison with a man.
