Dia Aberto do ESO 2017

No sábado dia 21 de outubro de 2017 o Observatório Europeu do Sul (ESO) abrirá as portas ao público entre as 11:00 e as 18:00 (hora local) da sua Sede em Garching bei München, na Alemanha.
Este evento enquadra-se nas atividades do Dia Aberto que decorrerão no Campus de Garching, altura em que outras instituições locais abrirão também as suas portas ao público.
O ESO situa-se no número 39 deste mapa do campus de Garching.
Alguns dos destaques no programa de 2017 são:

Veja os edifícios da Sede do ESO — participe em visitas guiadas pelo edifício de gabinetes e edifício técnico, ambos com design inovador. Aprenda como é que o ESO cria estrelas artificiais e veja como são os espelhos protótipos do European Extremely Large Telescope, entre outros. Descubra mais sobre o Planetário & Centro de Visitantes Supernova do ESO, atualmente em construção — com abertura prevista para 2018, esta infraestrutura será o maior planetário inclinado da Alemanha, Áustria e Suíça;

Visitas virtuais e 3D — embarque em viagens completamente imersivas aos locais de observação do ESO e seus arredores, assim como aos seus instrumentos pioneiros;

Ligação em direto ao Paranal e ao ALMA — ligue-se em direto aos nossos telescópios situados no deserto do Atacama, no Chile: o Very Large Telescope do ESO no Paranal e o ALMA, o maior projeto astronómico em existência, constituído por 66 antenas localizadas a 5000 metros de altitude no planalto do Chajnantor;

ESO Chile Chill — usufrua de momentos de relaxamento enquanto vê imagens incríveis dos nossos locais no Chile e ouve uma banda sonora de arrepiar;

Palestras, podcasts e documentários — oiça, veja e aprenda mais sobre o ESO;

Pinturas faciais, fábrica de cometas, fotografias infravermelhas, livros ilustrados e presentes para os mais pequenos — as crianças poderão divertir-se a pintar a cara com diversos motivos astronómicos, tais como estrelas, galáxias ou cometas. Poderão aprender a construir um cometa, tirar as suas fotografias em infravermelho, ao mesmo tempo que procuram autocolantes para completar as suas cadernetas e recebem pequenas lembranças pelas suas façanhas;

Observações solares — observe o Sol de forma segura através de um telescópio especial, se o tempo o permitir;

Visitas virtuais pelo céu — veja as constelações e planetas visíveis no céu durante esta altura do ano, graças a uma apresentação com software de planetário;

E muito mais.
Os visitantes não precisam de marcar a visita com antecedência. Apareça simplesmente nas atividades em que estiver interessado/a. O ESO dispõe de um café onde são servidos pequenos lanches.
