Visitas Virtuais do ESO: Edição do 50º Aniversário

A quarta geração das Visitas Virtuais do ESO encontra-se disponível nas páginas internet do ESO. A edição do 50º aniversário das visitas virtuais do ESO leva-nos numa viagem ao ESO e a alguns dos seus locais mais espetaculares, mostrando-nos também os seus instrumentos de vanguarda. Esta nova versão é melhor que todas as anteriores e inclui mais do dobro do número original de fotografias panorâmicas.
Graças a um programa de navegação amigo do utilizador e interativo, estas visitas virtuais permitem a toda a gente visitar e explorar alguns dos locais mais espetaculares do ESO. A visita inclui legendas que descrevem os locais e os principais pontos de interesse, assim como mapas google que permitem localizar de forma exata cada um dos locais do ESO relativamente ao resto do mundo, e que permitem ao mesmo tempo que o utilizador salte pelo globo e visite os diversos locais em segundos. Há também a possibilidade de clicar em quadrados interativos ao longo da visita e ver pequenos vídeos que mostram algumas das atividades típicas que se realizam em determinado sítio.
Adicionalmente e de modo a fornecer mais detalhes sobre as visitas ao Paranal/Armazones, La Silla, Chajnantor, Sede do ESO e Via Láctea, esta nova coleção de fotos panorâmicas, inclui uma visita aos gabinetes em Vitacura e à Casa de Hóspedes em Santiago, assim como imagens atuais do Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA), quase completo no Local de Operações da Rede, no Chajnantor, e um olhar mais detalhado a alguma da tecnologia e mecânica por detrás dos telescópios do ESO.
As Visitas Virtuais do ESO são todas compatíveis com o sistema iOS, o que as torna acessíveis a utilizadores de iPod, iPhone e iPad.
