Partecipate al secondo incontro di Social Media, #MeetESO
Osservate l'eclissi totale di Sole del 2019 dal Cile

L'ESO sta organizzando il suo secondo raduno di social media in Cile, in concomitanza con l'eclissi solare totale del 2019, visibile dall'Osservatorio di La Silla, #LaSillaTSE. Invitiamo i fan dei social media dei paesi membri di ESON a competere per gli otto posti disponibili su #MeetESO. Si prevede che i partecipanti selezionati si rechino in Cile a proprie spese.
#MeetESO porterà i partecipanti all'Osservatorio di La Silla ai confini del deserto cileno di Atacama. Qui, avranno l'opportunità di assistere all'eclissi solare totale, #LaSillaTSE, insieme a tanti appassionati e di visitare il primo sito osservativo costruito dall'ESO. Quella del 2019 è l'unica eclissi solare totale visibile da un osservatorio dell'ESO per i prossimi 212 anni.
Da La Silla, i partecipanti si recheranno in Paranal, sede del VLT (Very Large Telescope) dell'ESO, l'osservatorio astronomico in luce visibile più avanzato del mondo, e dei telescopi per survey dell'ESO, che mappano il cielo nei minimi dettagli.
Se il tempo lo consente, i partecipanti di #MeetESO visiteranno anche il sito ove è in costruzione l'ELT (Extremely Large Telescope) dell'ESO, l'occhio più grande del mondo rivolto verso il cielo.
Infine, il gruppo visiterà ALMA (Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array), il più grande progetto astronomico a terra in funzione, guidato dall'ESO insieme ai suoi collaboratori internazionali. La visita avrà una tappa all'OSF (Operation Support Facility) a 2000 metri di altitudine, e una al sito dove sono installate le antenne, a 5000 metri di altitudine.
L'ESO coprirà il costo del trasporto locale tra i diversi siti, cibo e alloggio locale e le attività programmate. Gli otto partecipanti selezionati devono essere disponibili a essere in Cile alla fine di giugno e all'inizio di luglio 2019 e dovranno pagare il volo di andata e ritorno dal proprio paese d'origine fino in Cile.
Chiunque fosse interessato a partecipare alla competizione deve leggere qui i criteri di ammissibilità. Se volete rimanere sul nostro radar mentre scandagliamo per trovare gli otto partecipanti, compilate questo modulo; usate sempre l'hashtag #MeetESO e mostrate la vostra passione per l'astronomia e l'ESO sui canali sociali (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram e YouTube).
