ELT mirror segments as far as the eye can see
After a long 10 000 km journey from Europe, segments of ESO’s Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) main mirror sit in their shipping boxes after having arrived at the ELT Technical Facility at Cerro Paranal in Chile. This extremely large facility will store the mirror segments before installation.
