Nehmen Sie am zweiten Social-Media-Treffen der ESO teil, #MeetESO
Beobachten Sie die totale Sonnenfinsternis 2019 von Chile aus

Die ESO organisiert ihr zweites Social-Media-Treffen in Chile, zeitgleich mit der totalen Sonnenfinsternis 2019, #LaSillaTSE, die vom La Silla Observatorium aus sichtbar ist. Wir laden Social-Media-Enthusiasten aus den ESON-Ländern ein, sich um die acht verfügbaren Plätze für #MeetESO zu bewerben. Ausgewählte Teilnehmer müssen jedoch auf eigene Kosten nach Chile reisen.
#MeetESO bringt die Teilnehmer zum La Silla Observatorium am Rande der chilenischen Atacama-Wüste. Hier haben sie die Möglichkeit, gemeinsam mit anderen Sonnenfinsternisbegeisterten die totale Sonnenfinsternis #LaSillaTSE zu erleben und das erste Observatorium der ESO zu besuchen. Die Finsternis 2019 ist die einzige totale Sonnenfinsternis, die von einem ESO-Observatorium für die nächsten 212 Jahre sichtbar ist.
Von La Silla aus reisen die Teilnehmer zum Paranal, wo sich das Very Large Telescope der ESO befindet - das weltweit modernste Observatorium für sichtbares Licht - und die Vermessungsteleskope der ESO, die den Himmel bis ins kleinste Detail erfassen.
Wenn es die Zeit erlaubt, werden die #MeetESO-Teilnehmer auch die Baustelle des Extremely Large Telescope der ESO besuchen, dem "world’s biggest eye on the sky".
Schließlich besucht die Gruppe das Atacama Large Millimeter/Submillimeter Array (ALMA), das größte existierende bodengebundene astronomische Projekt, das von der ESO gemeinsam mit ihren internationalen Partnern geleitet wird. Der Besuch erstreckt sich sowohl auf die Operation Support Facility in 2000 Metern Höhe als auch auf den Antennenstandort in 5000 Metern Höhe.
Die ESO übernimmt die Kosten für den lokalen Transport zwischen den Standorten, die Unterkunft, das Essen und die geplanten Aktivitäten. Die acht ausgewählten Teilnehmer müssen Ende Juni und Anfang Juli 2019 für einen Besuch in Chile zur Verfügung stehen und die Kosten ihres Fluges von ihrem Heimatland nach Chile und zurück tragen.

Wenn Sie auf sich aufmerksam machen wollen, während wir nach unseren acht möglichen Teilnehmern suchen, füllen Sie dieses Formular aus; verwenden Sie immer den Hashtag #MeetESO und zeigen Sie Ihre Leidenschaft für Astronomie und die ESO auf Ihren Social Media Kanälen (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram und YouTube). Wir bieten Ihnen die Möglichkeit, sich hier die vollständigen Wettbewerbsregeln anzusehen.
Wir ermuntern die Teilnehmer, den Kanälen der ESO zu folgen und nach privaten Nachrichten der ESO oder unserer Community Coordinatorin Oana Sandu Ausschau zu halten.
Die Finalisten werden im Dezember 2018 bekannt gegeben.
