Seeing sharper with the VLT (fulldome)

This fulldome video shows the effect of using adaptive optics in conjunction with ESO's Very Large Telescope. The adaptive optics technology provides extremely sharp, clear images of astronomical objects despite the influence of the Earth's atmosphere. This image shows the Carina Nebula.
