Día de puertas abiertas en ESO para la gran noche de las ciencias

El sábado 27 de junio, entre las 18:00 y las 24:00hrs CEST, la Sede Central del Observatorio Europeo Austral (ESO) ubicada en Garching, cerca de Munich, Alemania, abrirá sus puertas al público. Este año, el Día de Puertas Abiertas formará parte del evento denominado Gran Noche de las Ciencias (Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften), que se realizará en diversos institutos del campus de investigación de Garching.
Se invita a los visitantes a vivir la experiencia de ESO desde la tarde hasta la medianoche, mediante una amplia gama de actividades. Las atracciones principales del programa 2015 incluyen:
- Recorrido de la Sede Central de ESO, dando un vistazo a los trabajos de construcción del futuro Planetario y Centro de Visitas, el ESO Supernova: participe en visitas guiadas al edificio de estilo innovador que aloja las oficinas y nuestro edificio técnico. Conozca los trabajos de construcción del ESO Supernova, cuya inauguración se realizará en el año 2017, y que será el mayor planetario de Alemania, Austria y Suiza. Vea cómo en ESO creamos estrellas artificiales, conozca los prototipos de espejos para el European Extremely Large Telescope y más;
- Conexión en vivo con Paranal y ALMA: tour virtual y conexión con el Very Large Telescope de ESO, ubicado en Paranal y con ALMA, el Proyecto astronómico de mayor envergadura en la actualidad, que consiste en 66 antenas emplazadas a 5000 metros sobre el nivel del mar, en el Llano de Chajnantor en Chile;
- ESO Chile Chill: relájese viendo imágenes increíbles de nuestros centros astronómicos en Chile, escuchando la banda sonora de la serie Chile Chill;
- Charlas, podcasts y documentales: entre al mundo de ESO, asistiendo a charlas impartidas por científicos e ingenieros, presenciando películas;
- Show en el Planetario: es una oportunidad para ver las estrellas a plena luz del día, gracias a las actividades en nuestro planetario;
- Fotografías en infrarrojo, cacería de stickers y regalos: los niños se divertirán en grande tomándose fotografías en infrarrojo, buscando stickers para su álbum, con premios para los mejores;
- Tour virtual del cielo: disfrute de una introducción a los cielos con sus constelaciones y planetas, gracias a las presentaciones del Stellarium;
- Observaciones solares y nocturnas: vea el Sol a través de un pequeño telescopio y observe otros objetos en el cielo, si el clima lo permite.
- Especial para Jóvenes: En búsqueda de colegas a futuro! No puede imaginar hasta qué punto las ciencias y la tecnología pueden resultar creativas, interesantes y variadas! Haga la prueba: acompáñenos a un recorrido en el que realizaremos actividades prácticas en talleres y experimentos. Disfrute viendo videos de corta duración y presentaciones, o simplemente plantee todas las preguntas que quiera!

No es necesario realizar reservas con anticipación. Simplemente hágase presente en las actividades que le interesen. ESO cuenta con una cafetería donde se servirán refrigerios.
