Premio Europeo al Periodismo Astronómico 2014

El Observatorio Europeo Austral (ESO) invita a representantes de medios de comunicación pertenecientes a sus Estados Miembros a concursar en la versión 2014 del Premio Europeo al Periodismo Astronómico, que ofrecerá al ganador un viaje al Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) en Chile.
El concurso es organizado por ESO y el Consejo de Instalaciones de Ciencia y Tecnología (STFC por sus siglas en inglés), en conjunto con la Asociación de Escritores Científicos Británicos y la Real Sociedad de Astronomía, y tiene como objetivo fomentar una cobertura más amplia de la astronomía y temas afines en los medios de comunicación, para inspirar a la próxima generación de astrónomos.
Las postulaciones deberán versar sobre astronomía y áreas de la tecnología vinculadas con este campo, o acerca del trabajo y estilo de vida de los astrónomos, ingenieros, u otras personas que se desenvuelvan en el ámbito de la astronomía. Los trabajos deben reflejar los intereses Europeos y pueden ser publicaciones escritas, en línea, o haber sido emitidas. Se recibirán trabajos provenientes de todos los Estados Miembros de ESO, los cuales deben presentarse en idioma inglés.
Los trabajos que se presenten al concurso deben haber sido publicados, o emitidos, durante el periodo comprendido entre el 1 de agosto de 2013 y el 28 de noviembre de 2014, inclusive. El cierre de las postulaciones se ha fijado para el viernes, 28 de noviembre de 2014, a las 18:00hrs CET.
Las inscripciones están abiertas a periodistas, a estudiantes de cursos reconocidos de periodismo, a estudiantes cursando un grado académico acreditado en astronomía, o profesionales en poder de una certificación reconocida en el ámbito de la astronomía, cuyos trabajos hayan sido publicados, o emitidos, y se encuentren disponibles al público en general.
