Día de Puertas Abiertas 2013 en el campus de investigación de Garching

El sábado 19 de octubre, el Observatorio Europeo Austral (ESO) abrirá sus puertas al público entre las 11:00 y las 19:00 CEST. El evento forma parte del Día de Puertas Abiertas a realizarse en el campus de Garching, cerca de Munich, en Alemania. Todo el campus (y varios otros institutos) ofrecerá un programa que contempla diversas actividades, en inglés y en alemán, para los fanáticos de la ciencia y la astronomía de todas las edades.
¡Aquellos que visiten la sede de ESO (número 39 en este mapa) tendrán la oportunidad de experimentar el mundo de esta gran organización en vivo y en directo! Entre las actividades planificadas para este día se encuentran:
- Tours virtuales y 3D — emprenda exhaustivos viajes que recorrerán el interior y los alrededores de algunos de los sitios de observación más impactantes de ESO, además de sus innovadores instrumentos,
- Conexión en vivo con ALMA — conéctese con el proyecto astronómico más grande en existencia, compuesto por 66 antenas y ubicado a una altitud de 5.000 metros sobre el llano de Chajnantor, en Chile,
- La serie Chile Chill de ESO — tómese un momento de relajo con las increíbles imágenes de nuestros sitios en Chile, al ritmo de una apacible banda sonora,
- Charlas, podcasts y documentales — escuche, vea y aprenda más acerca de ESO,
- Presentaciones en el planetario — ¡observe las estrellas en nuestro planetario aún durante el día!,
- Caras pintadas y regalos para los más pequeños — los niños se divertirán enormemente con sus caras pintadas, pudiendo elegir entre distintos diseños astronómicos, como estrellas, galaxias o cometas,
- Conozca por primera vez el nuevo edificio de ESO — el edificio de oficinas, que cuenta con un gran estilo innovador, ayudará a albergar al creciente personal de Garching, y será la cuna de las innovaciones tecnológicas necesarias para los ambiciosos proyectos de ESO, como el European Extremely Large Telescope, y mucho más...
Los visitantes no requieren de reserva previa para las visitas. Usted simplemente puede presentarse a las actividades que le resulten de interés. ESO tiene una cafetería donde podrá adquirir alimentos ligeros.
