Próximamente “El agua: una aventura cósmica” — nueva película de planetario

Los amantes de las películas de planetario pueden embarcarse en una nueva y emocionante aventura: la búsqueda de agua en el Universo. A principios de octubre, el Observatorio Europeo Austral, en colaboración con la Asociación de Planetarios en lengua francesa (APLF) y el Planetario de Hamburgo les ofrece “El agua: una aventura cósmica” — una película de planetario de 30 minutos que cuenta las experiencias de la astrofísica Eva Luna en sus investigaciones sobre los turbulentos orígenes de esta molécula vital.
Realistas animaciones 3D y secuencias impactantes les llevarán, a través de un viaje alucinante, al lugar más seco de la Tierra, el desierto de Atacama en Chile, donde los telescopios más impresionantes de ESO buscan planetas que contengan la molécula esencial para la vida.
Distribuida durante el año de su 50 aniversario, la película destaca los grandes logros de ESO al tiempo que presenta algunas de las imágenes más espectaculares del Observatorio de La Silla, el VLT (Very Large Telescope) en Paranal y modelos 3D antes nunca vistos del mayor ojo para mirar el cielo — el E-ELT (European Extremely Large Telescope), telescopio europeo extremadamente grande, ahora en planificación.

Producido por The Master Film Society, esta película está disponible en inglés, francés y alemán. La banda sonora ha sido grabada en sonido envolvente digital 5.1 y las imágenes 3D de 360° fueron captadas utilizando una cámara de última tecnología, la RED-EPIC © 5K.
Los planetarios interesados pueden solicitar uno de los dos formatos disponibles:
- Video fulldome en resolución estándar 4k x 4k o 1k para cúpulas pequeñas o móviles; compatible con todos los sistemas digitales fulldome estándares (SkySkan, Evans & Sutherland, RSAcosmos, Zeiss, SkyPoint etc.);
- Paquete clásico analógico (imágenes en alta resolución, panorámicas de todo el cielo, imágenes con formato Windows y otras imágenes).
- Vídeo fulldome de 1.2 K para cúpulas móviles y cúpulas pequeñas.
La película completa se ofrecerá también en 3D Estereoscópico y tendrá un conjunto de módulos añadidos de 10 minutos cada uno, lo que permitirá una interacción en vivo con la audiencia tras la proyección. Los módulos planificados incluyen temas como: el E-ELT (European Extremely Large Telescope); agua en Marte; agua en la Tierra; la ecuación de Drake; y los exoplanetas. Podrán disponer de las actualizaciones sobre los temas científicos presentados durante la película a partir de octubre de 2012 (solo en formato fulldome).
