Disponibles las aplicaciones Top 100 v2.0 de ESO

Ya está disponible la versión actualizada de la conocida aplicación Imágenes Top 100 de ESO para su descarga desde iTunes. La nueva versión, lanzada en paralelo a las celebración del 50 aniversario de ESO, saca el máximo partido del iPad de tercera generación, de su retina display y de los gráficos quad core.
Esta aplicación gratuita transforma el iPad en una maravillosa ventana al universo y permite a los usuarios disfrutar de 100 imágenes espectaculares de galaxias distantes y nebulosas, impactantes panoramas de cielos nocturnos e imágenes de algunos de los telescopios más potentes del mundo. Gracias a la tecnología hipernítida de la retina display (que contiene 1 millón de píxeles más que la HDTV) estas imágenes lucen mucho más espectaculares.
Las imágenes, con pies de imagen descriptivos, se actualizan constantemente gracias a la llegada de nuevas imágenes obtenidas por el conjunto de telescopios de ESO, los más avanzados del mundo, instalados en el desierto chileno de Atacama, en Chile. Las fotografías también son fáciles de descargar y de usar como fondo de pantalla de impresionante resolución para el iPad.
Entre las nuevas características se incluye también un índice, que permite a los usuarios ir directamente a imágenes individuales, así como a una opción de diapositivas más limpia y equilibrada, acompañada por una nueva banda sonora de John Stanford.

Junto con la Agencia Espacial Europea (ESA, European Space Agency), ePOD también ha lanzado la aplicación Imágenes Top 100 de ESA/Hubble v2 con las mejores imágenes del Telescopio Espacial Hubble, de NASA/ESA. La aplicación gratuita también puede descargarse desde la tienda de iTunes.
