The very positive and successful experience of the FLAMES Science Verification Dry Runs has undoubtedly resulted from the hard work (a lot!) of several people, who I would like to personally thank. First of all, my thanks go to all the FLAMES SV Team members for having proposed and developed the science cases, in a very flexible and timely manner. Special thanks go to the ESO Fellows Marina Rejkuba, Manuela Zoccali, Nicolas Cretton and Claudio Melo for having taken extra work-loads at different stages of the entire process (support and interaction with the external PIs, assembling of the Web pages, preparation and execution of the observations, data-reduction and quick-look quality checks). Deep thanks go to the Paranal FLAMES SV Team for having been able to work in such a positive, friendly, and constructive team spirit for all 10 nights of observations. Final thanks go to the ESO/ST-ECF Science Archive for their help and availability in preparing all the data packages on a timescale shorter than usual.
