             VLT-SW-NOV97 - RELEASE NOTES FOR Tcl/Tk
             =======================================


   The Tcl/Tk included with the VLT Common Software contains the
   following core plus extensions:
     - Tcl 7.6p2
     - Tk 4.2p2
     - TclX 7.6.0
     - [incr Tcl] 2.2p2
     - [incr Tk] 2.2p2
     - [incr widgets] 2.2.0
     - BLT 2.1
     - Img 1.1
   Several of these extensions have been patched to deal with known
   problems.

   Changes (with respect to MAY97):

     - None, apart from a few bug-fixes

   New Features (with respect to MAY97):

     - The Img package is now included.  It allows to deal with images
       of different types.

     - Also the static Tcl/Tk libraries are now generated and installed
