          VLT-SW-APR2003 - RELEASE NOTES FOR FIERA SOFTWARE (FCD)

New features (with respect to APR2003):

- tat tests improved: now the FIERASW can be automatically tested
- Final version of SUX driver for the PCIbus-based SLCU
- The SLCU code has been ported to Linux (but not officially
  supported yet)
- The SLCU code has been ported also to HP-UX: in this way
  it can run also on the INStrument workstation, providing a better
  testing of the INStrument sw interaction with FIERA, even if the
  SLCU is missing (useful for the Consortia)
- A lot of diagnostic and error messages have been improved (at
  DSP, SLCU and INStrument Workstation level)
- FIERA User Manual (VLT-MAN-ESO-13640-1388) and FIERA
  Maintenance Manual (VLT-MAN-ESO-13640-1707) updated:

- Several modifications to support OmegaCam (see SPR VLTSW20010487,
  on/offline of Anabias Boards modified on DSP, DSP able to
  catch external synch signal, video OFFSETs automatic calculation)
